This alert is showing in my Notifications, however there is no follow-up message.

I have had the same for 3 weeks now "You're approaching your Pay After Delivery spending limit." When I clicked on the small link "Lift this limit" and go to the confirm identity window click on get started ticked the box it goes straight to "Thank you for providing all the required information. You’re all set, and your account is back to normal." It now goes to that without ticking anything every time I do it.

I also had an email saying I was I was approaching my limit of £3000 and something pounds, it was so ridiculous that I would be anywhere near that, at most it would be about £300. I spoke to a Paypal agent and I had a hard time, the agent was what I can only describe as totally clueless and didn't know what I was talking about regarding the notification but later suggested turning of notifications for Surveys and News and Promotions (you can't turn the last two Paypal ones off).

The agent then confirmed I didn't have a PAD limit at all (I am still using it with no issues), but said it was because I need to confirm one of my cards on file, obviously I don't believe this is going to clear the notification, after all he didn't know about anything else so I really don't have faith in him already by now. Anyhow I then argued that this notification says nothing about confirming my card and that it was making an incorrect statement, as was email, and that the system to confirm it wasn't working but he was having non of it and would not accept or admit there was an issue with Paypals system insisting that the only solution was to confirm my card. So on the one hand we have one possible reason for the notification given here as the accepted solution (That it's down to the number of transactions pending on PAD) and on the other hand we have this extremely clueless and stubborn agent suggesting it is because one of the cards on the account isn't confirmed, in either case the notification nor the email reflects that this is the problem. I feel like he was just trying to get me to confirm my card, but it would be interesting to know if this solves the issue, I am very sceptical after talking to the agent though. It seems we are all going to be stuck with this silly annoying notification that pops up over half the screen all the time and no one at Paypal is even willing to accept the system is broken or fix it and most don't even understand what we are talking about.

Did you read the solution I accepted for this problem? It made the most sense of the few solutions I received from Paypal. I’m Still not convinced however, as I used to have PAD for House of Fraser & Zara, but this is no longer offered, whilst other retailers still offer PAD to me, Oasis, Warehouse etc. No-one can provide me with an explanation for this!

Hi, Yes I did and I believe I mentioned it in my reply, any way I have found a solution to stop the pop up, I have ad block so I told it to block it and it works, no more annoying pop up notification every time you load the page 🙂

As for your query regarding PAD, I can offer a couple of possible reasons it may not work with some companies, Firstly it's nothing to do with Paypal but the company you are buying from, though you probably know that already.

Reasons:

1. If the company is not UK based (or at least the site or office) then PAD is not available - it's only available in the UK, so maybe they moved their offices or payments to another country or outsourced them.

2. If you are close to your limit you may be able to make a PAD purchase for £9 but not £19 for example, as the higher amount would take you over your PAD limit

3. I am not sure but it's possibly at the descretion of the company you are buying from, eBay stopped me using PAD several times but Paypal told me it was still available.
