when do charges from my paypal account show up in my bank account?

I bought some thing and on my paypal account it shows as charged and paid for, but on my bank account there isn't any charges yet. im new to using paypal so maybe some one can expalin how this works? does the charge not show up until the item is at my dorr or what? please some help!

did you already have money in your paypal account?

if not then it should show up on your bank account but i'd give it like a day, sometimes it won't show up right away. now if you did NOT have money in your paypal account already and it is being taken from your checking account there's a transfer wait time between taking it from your checking account, and it getting to the seller of the item you purchased. up to 5 business days i believe, but mine usually take 2-3 days.
