I was given an email address to send my payment for jewerly I purchased from a factory in China is there a way to see if it is legite/

Check if an email account is PayPal verified by adding it to this URL:
https://www.paypal.com/us/verified/pal=EmailAddressHere

Also, try and Google the email address to see what turns up, and do a background check on the company and their website if known (it may be the part of the email address after the @ symbol, for example:  myemail @ XYZcompany.com).
