question about Virtual Terminal

I have an internet based business. Occasionally I do craft shows, usually around the end of the year, mostly during the main holiday season. I would be interested in using Virtual Terminal to accept credit cards at the shows...however I don't want to pay 30.00 a month all year when I really only need the service a couple of months out of the year. Can anyone answer this question for me?
Thanks!

Hi Rachiegrl4-
The Virtual Terminal product requires an application and approval process, so I'm not sure if it's something you'd want to cancel and re-apply for every year.
If your customers already have PayPal accounts, have you considered seeing the options available to you via PayPal Mobile (www.paypal.com/mobile)? There are some send money text messaging features if your customers have a mobile phone (in the SMS features), and even more capability with apps from iPhone or Android. Those don't require Virtual Terminal capability.
You can also speak to our sales team by checking the number on the business tab from your PayPal homepage. They may have some recommendations for you based on your current business model.
Thanks,
Jason

I would like to cancel my Virtual Terminal. I will not need it for a few months.
It used to be easy but Pay Pal has made this very difficult. I am tired of jumping through hoops.
Help?

You can cancel VT yourself. It's explained in the VT User Guidel.
Discontinuing Virtual Terminal
To disable Virtual Terminal, you must cancel your Merchant Services Billing Agreement. If
you cancel your Billing Agreement, your access to the Direct Payment API and Risk Controls
are also disabled.
To cancel your Merchant Services Billing Agreement and disable Virtual Terminal:
1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click the My Account tab, and then click the Profile
subtab.
3. In the Financial Information column, click the PayPal Monthly Billing
link.
4. Click Cancel Agreement.
5. Click Cancel Agreement again.
Regards,
skier

Go to My Account
Go to Overview
Recent Activity should show your PayPal Website Payments Pro/Virtual Terminal Payment
Select Details next to the Payment status
Select View Billing Agreement Details
Cancel Billing Agreement
Confirm
Your Done.
Hope this helps. I did not have anything the Virtual Terminal user Guide talked about on my Paylpal menus.
