I think it is dead wrong for PayPal to "maybe" release a hold on a seller's funds waiting for feedback from a buyer who may or may not leave feedback. I'm a relatively new seller and will not leave feedback for a buyer now until I get feedback on my shipment. I'm setting aside stuff I want to sell for awhile because I don't like PayPal's tactics, whether we agreed to them or not if they "hold funds" on thousands of people a day while we hold up our end of the bargain that's not fair at all. The reason for selling on Ebay is to get our money--the buyer has paid--PayPal should send all non new sellers/users their money ASAP!! I'm waiting for 21 days now for a refund on a voided shipping label and nobody from PayPal or USPS or EBAY can give me an answer!!!! This is just wrong.................................

This had never happened to me in the past, I've always been more of a buyer than a seller but none the less never had negative feedback on any transaction. Due to recently losing my job and a sizeable income at the same time I decided selling some of my Fenton collection on ebay would make a positive impact on my lost income. Lo and behold, the very first item I sell on a buy it now, I'm notified that ebay/paypal is holding my funds. BS! I got so angry I pulled all my items off ebay and advised paypal to refund the money to the buyer, end of transaction, end of doing business with ebay. The buyer was very angry and accused me of cheating her, if I had kept her money and the item then I would have cheated her. If I had shipped the item and never gotten my money I would have been cheated. In my opinion the best thing to do was cancel all transactions. Sad because I needed the money and had some beautiful Fenton pieces up for sale for a lot less than they were worth, and quite a few watchers. I went online and found another auction site and am going to list my items there, ola.com. for $8.00 a month you can list up to 800 items a year with no additional charges unless you jazz things up, which I won't. It is not as well known as ebay but I have control, not ebay/paypal, which by the way, this policy is ebay's not paypals.

I do not have a problem with e-bay, it's paypal that has taken a turn for the worse. Any time you play with peoples income your going to have a mutiny on your hands. In life you are forced to make a choice to change with the times. This change to HOLD rightful $$ is a poor choice, and the following of rough outcomes for PayPal will follow. It's just too bad, a poor choice, and if it's not lifted soon, there website will suffer greatly. Are they trying to police issues that are out of their own control? I would rather deal with Local Bank Cashiers Check and wait for it to clear, and I suggest you all protest ( and not be so complacent ) and do the same. Another way to let someone take your rights away.

Do any of you realize that Ebay bought PayPal so they could do whatever they want? Seems kind of illegal to me. Some of you are lucky if they are holding your funds for 21 days...mine has a 90 day hold. You are right they are making interest on our money...that is why they are doing it...making extra millions...yes you heard me millions. I too am looking for an option to sell my stuff...looks like Amazon is gonna get my business

This is a disaster !!! Why is E Bay and pay Pal changing a rather easy way to do business. Now can't even get help by E Mail. Need to message to a computer. that most of the time gives you the standard answer,"CAN YOU REFRAZE YOUR QUESTION". Us users need to spend hours rather than minutes to work deals, both in setting up an item to getting to get paid without a 20/30 day hold. If you GEEKS read this, we are not a bunch of geeks and some have a hard time when you are easy to use. Hope someone can come up with a better and easer web sight we all can use

I love seeing businesses that run like butter start "Blockbustering" themselves (I've become curiously interested in the similarities between Blockbuster and Ebay's inevitable demise)... Ebay and the like (PayPall included) become Enron-ically fascinated by their own mite aggrandized by the collective, and eventually destroy themselves in the juice of their own ineptitude. I now hate Ebay, PayPal and Blockbuster, as they all belong to the same club of pain. I can't wait to be done with them all for good and let their logos rot in their own paste of greed.
Stop holding my money you SOBs....serously....it would be a crime in any other century....

We all agreed to the terms when we signed up for Paypal to take payments for our Ebay transactions.
This whole thing is right in the agreement that we all read or should have read.
I don't like it either but I agreed to it so I always plan on having shipping money available to me when an auctions ends just in case there would be a hold on my funds.
