Hello I am using Ebay to help make ends meet but I have less than 50 points and paypal will hold my payment untill I revieve feedback. Lets say I sold item on monday I ship item tuesday buyer recieves on Friday and hope buyer leaves me feedback right away. Once hold is released I then transfer money to my bank it shows on paypal that money was sent but takes 3 days for money to show up in my account. I have asked my bank and they say that when money is sent it should post in 1 day . My question, is paypal holding money extra time to make intrest on it? Thank you

Nope.
When you transfer funds from your PayPal Account to your bank account, you should receive a "completed" message in your Account Transaction History. The "completed" message means that PayPal has completed their end of the deal by transfering the funds to your bank. The next step is up to your bank as to how long it takes for it to show up in your account. Normally the time frame for US Banks is 4 "business days". Note some US Banks can take longer and "business days" do not include weekends or holidays. As for other countries, Canadian banks can take up to eight business days. UK banks can take up to nine working days and Australian banks can take seven to eight working days.

I thought so. My transfer to my bank account is killing me. It states COMPLETE and I still don't have my funds, so I go after my bank. I explained this to my bank and MY bank says that although Paypal states the transaction is COMPLETE, it still takes Paypal 2-3 to fully transfer the funds to my bank account. What's up with that? Time is money and Paypal, I believe, is wasting my money!

Here's the good news, if you're not happy with the service, there are other services who may better serve your needs. For sure, PayPal is not a one size fits all. For example, PayPal works quite well for our web site however, we also vend at outdoor events and markets during the summer season. For that part of our business, our local bank provided us with a solution for credit card processing.
