Has anybody done this, or is there something in payals T&C's preventing it?
I need to be able to take card payments on the road as part of my business,
option 1 is the banks mobile pdq, which per month until transactions build up is going to be very expensive,
option 2 im thinking set up a mobile payment page within my sales website, then use my mobile phone combined with paypal mobile as a virtual pdq,
So as above, can it be done, has anybody done it, if yes to both, were your customers happy with it?

Paypal has a virtual terminal available for $30/mo. that will allow you to accept over-the-counter CC payments.
However, there is little to stop one from allowing the customer to make an online transaction on your mobile device by clicking on a Buy Now button, navigating to the "enter CC info or log in" page and turning the computer around having them complete the transaction on your palmtop by filling out the 13 fields present on that form.
An online transaction is just an online transaction, regardless of whether it is performed on your computer or theirs.
There are a number of startups that are now coming online, specifically designed to target the iPhone market, one started by the inventor of Twitter. Google "iphone credit card swipe" for some news articles if you're interested.
Hope that helps

Thank you thats perfect, the virtual terminal is not practical at the moment for a variety of reasons, so ill just use the pda option.
