Is receiving a payment from an unverified and address unconfirmed account risky ? (when selling in ebay).

Is an unverified paypal account entitled for paypal buyer protection ?

Yes.  Especially if they have less than 10 feedback.  Insure product, keep receipts, be prepared to file claim and lose....

Hi dhanoj,

The eligibility requirements for PayPal Buyer Protection can be found in section 13.3 of the PayPal User Agreement.  Account verification and the number of feedback are not required.

Section 11 explains the Seller Protection Policy which sellers can use when calculating the risk versus reward for each transaction.

Hi Amanda,

Isn't a message sent via ebay mail service accepted as a proof of sending something from buyer to the sellere or the other way around?  The world is developing, people are trying to do everything online without physical effort. Ebay and paypal are also good examples for that.

If ebay messaging isn't accepted as a proof for something, why is that? it's your own mail service. If I'm correct, if two people talk via ebay messaging to do a deal violating ebay policies,  ebay tracks those messages and take actions against them. (If I'm wrong, I apologize.  Please ignore this) In that case if they trust ebay messages as proof for something, why isn't it accepted as a proof when the customers of ebay try to make their transactions easy via ebay messaging? I believe both ebay and paypal work together. That's why I put this question here. Anyway if you think this isn't something related to you, kindly ignore this. Thanks
