Shipping not being added on in cart

HELP!  I just set up my own website and it added it's own Add To Cart buttons and I selected PayPal as my method of payment, when I tested it out and added items to my cart, it does not add the shipping.  I have one active shipping method listed.

We need to see what you have done so far.   If you post a URL to the web page that has your item button code, perhaps we can help, else there's not much we can do.

i had created a site using weebly.com, they have you pick from their site how you want your items paid for.  either paypal or google checkout.  i picked paypal.  when you hit add to cart, your items is added but no shipping.  they said i have to put it on there thru the paypal site.

Thanks.   Third party carts are hard to trouble shoot.  I was able to look at the coding for one of your items and did not see the cart using any shipping override variables.  Sometimes these carts will do that.

 

As you previously mentioned, you said you did setup a shipping method in your Account Profile.   Suggest first going back and deleting the method.   Then log out of your PayPal Account, next log back into your PayPal Account, recreate the method and save it.   Exit your Account and retry your web site.

 

As there's no way for any of us to see what you have done, sometimes it's best to simply start over.  PayPal's Website Payments Standard Integration Guide does explain how to setup a shipping method(s) just in case you want to read up on how's it's done.   The guide can be found here.

 

Note, the box for entering a ZIP is currently used to calculate sales Tax, it has no affect on the shipping calculation at this point in time.   I'm assuming that you did setup a Sales Tax table in your Account Profile.

I have the same problem - but I cannot see where/how to change my account profile on my weebly account! Do I do it here at Pay Pal with a separate account rather than Weebly's PP cart?  I am signed in using my husband's account right now so I am able to post this message, and wonder if I need to open my own or use his, in either case, to establish and replace the weebly cart - I cannot see how to modify weebly PP!

I would suggest first starting with Weebly, check with their Support or if they have a Forum.  Does this cart have it's own shipping calculations or does it rely on the shipping setup in your PayPal Account Profile?   For examle, if the shipping is to be calculated from the PayPal Account, then you need to check how things are setup there.  If this is your husbands PayPal account, then you will need to take a look at it.

Thank you, Skier. I did get an email reply from a Weebly Rep, and gave me a link here to Pay Pal, but it confused me as to who's account I am configuring. Still unclear, but I'll experiment with my Hubby's (with his permission) and see if it reflects at Weebly. Yet, I am afaid it will mess up his set up, I've emailed a couple of otherWeebly users who ARE set up, but they do not reply. (sigh.)
