Seller funds locked

I am the buyer in this case, and I had opened a dispute with the seller.

 

However, before that dispute was closed by paypal, the seller resolved the issue with me, and I closed it before paypal did. Now though, the seller says that the funds are locked and his paypal account has been frozen as well.

 

How do I resolve this issue? He's kinda threatening me here.

Unless you paid with a credit card there is nothing you can do as you closed the dispute prior to receiving your merchandise.  If you paid via credit card you can always issue a chargeback and if the seller has no tracking information you will probably win. 

 

Some members will jump on here and tell you to call paypal (wait close to an hour) and ask the case be re-opened for an appeal but that can take up to a month and appeals are normally closed without results so I consider appeals a waste of time.
