Refund completed but on temporary hold, what does this mean?

I received a refund tonight from a purchase I made a while back and never receieved. It says the refund has been completed but it also says it is on temporary hold by Paypal. Anyone know what this means or when I am going to see the funds show up in my account? Do the funds get transfered back to my bank account or will they eventually show up on my Paypal balance? I've never had this happen before.

Hi Holly,
If your refund is "Pending" there were not enough funds in your seller's PayPal account to cover the refund, so the funds are being transferred from the seller's bank account. Once the bank account transfer is completed, you'll receive your refund.
If the refund was sent using the "Send Money" tab, the reason for a temporary hold can vary.

Amanda, how long does it take for a temp hold for shipping refund take to come off and why is it put on? thanks lindagaye

same here, its been 5 business days and no refund im nervous about this. They need better communication with this kind of stuff with us.

Did anyone get resolution to this? I am waiting for a refund to show in my account when the refund shows as complete in paypal but not in my bank account.
