New account - If an item is not sold through ebay and sold from our inventory, will paypal still pend the payment and if so for how long...

Assuming the item is sold from your web page or site and your account is verified, you should see the funds almost instantly unless the payment method was an eCheck.  EChecks can take several business days to clear.
