It appears that Hotmail is no longer delivering PayPal automatic payment notifications. I used to get a notification at my Hotmail when a customer sent me a payment. On January 20 a payment notification was never delivered. Additionally, Hotmail is no longer delivering the emails generated at my websites that come when a customer fills out the order form or contact form. I have posted this question on the Hotmail forums but they have not responded. In the meantime I have changed my PayPal primary email to a Gmail. I have also had to change all my websites order forms to my Gmail and I am again getting the orders from customers.
There seems to be a problem created by the Hotmail upgrades of their servers that are not configured properly to handle automated emails generated by Paypal and in my particular case the emails that are generated at my websites can no longer be delivered by Hotmail.
I post this here to see if any one else has experienced this sort of problem and to suggest that a quick fix is to go with another email service because obviously Hotmail is not very interested in resolving this problem.
