I have bought using paypal but never sold. Ok, here is my question. I sold two phones today and the lady that bought them sent my money via paypal. Ok, that worked, I found the money and had it put in my checking account (I thought). However, now I got an email saying that two small deposits were put in my account and to put the amounts on the site so they knew it was me. Ok, I will do that when I get it. But here is the kicker..
The young lady put the money in, and she wants to pick up the phones on Tuesday. However, can she withdraw the money after I give her the phones if I have not been able to verify the account by then? Also, it said it would take four days for the money to get into my checking account, can she take it back after she put it in.
I guess my concern is that I give her the phones on Tuesday when she is down my way... but the money is not in my checking account and she takes it back... HELP??
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Tony

Even after you have your account verified you buyer can file a paypal dispute and get their money back.
For item not received and unauthorized account claims you must ship to the address on the details page of the Paypal apyment and supply paypal with the d/c number.
For sales $250.00 or more you will need signature confirmation.
Some things you can do to for in person pickups.
Ask for ID - Drivers license, write down their vehicle license plate number , etc.
print up the paypal receipt and have them sign it.
Those steps wount stop a chargeback, but will help you when filing a police report or in small claims court

Hey, just one more question. You replied "print up the paypal receipt and have them sign it." I went to the paypal website and could not find how to print a receipt from their website. Can you give me information on where this is found? thanks Tony

Do you presently have the funds for the phones in your PayPal Account? If Yes, then you either ship or give the buyer the phones.
As for moving the funds to your bank account, that has nothing to do with the transaction. As far as the buyer trying to get the funds back. Unless the phones are not as described or you are dealing with a not so honest buyer, there's nothing to worry about.
Note, should a claim be filed against you, it makes no difference where you have money, should PayPal decide to refund the money, they will get it from you regardless of where you have moved it to. Suggest reading the User Agreement as it explains how things work.

Yes, she put the funds in my account and I had it transferred to my checking account. She is coming to get the phones on Tuesday. I am not worried about the phones not meeting her expectations, they will. I just worry that someone is going to stiff me for 200 dollars. Thanks Tony
