Hello, I am wondering if anyone can help. I received a payment from my Dad today through PayPal. I then sent this through PayPal to my sister in law. I have done this several time's the last month or two and the money has usually went straight away but tonight it has came up saying the money I have sent is being held. What does this mean? I am struggling to understand why it goes straight to her PayPal any other time but this time it is being held. I know that it should have went through straight away because I clicked a previous transaction option that said repeat this transaction. Help!

Maybe paypal viewed the transaction as suspicious. Why wasn't the payment sent straight from your dad to your sister-in-law?
Passing on money when no sales are involved in a 3 way transaction would trigger a security alarm and paypal are probably checking is ok before passing it on.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Thank you very much for replying. I managed to get it sorted last night after phoning PayPal. There was a technical fault in the system.
