Is gumtree secure via paypal

I want to buy a computer that is advertised on gumtree that includes delivery, will i be secure using paypal to what the advertisment says so i dont get scamed in a way either they dont send the item or its broke/parts missing? and how do i make the transaction for this advertisment?

Buyer protection is good but it is not a "cover-all".
