I sold an item on eBay, which the person bought and I sent the item to them, they had received the item and the transaction went fine. Until about a month later i had a notification saying the buyer had issued a chargback, and the payment had been reversed. I uploaded proof of me giving the item to them and ever since haven't heard anything about the transaction (The charge back is issued 11 APRIL!!!!). I regularly receive emails saying resolve my negative balance, so I will lose my item AND lose my money? and someone gets an item for free - baring in mind the transaction is for £65! I want to know what is happening with my money!!!! At the moment someone else has my money and my item and I have lost both? I'm not going to willingly put any money into PayPal to resolve my negative balance until this 'Chargeback' is dealt with fairly!!!!
Anyone help???
Thanks!

I have had exactly the same problem. This person Mr Martin Johnson from Devon, picked up the aquarium I sold and then directed his bank not to pay his paypal account (days after the pick up).
Paypal will only help if you have a delivery number from an approved courier, and if the sale is over £150 you must have a signature.
I have provided evidence of feedback left for me on the aquarium, I have also allowed them access to the messaging to show this person was picking the item up. Two weeks later I have just received an email stating that the payment has been reversed and the case is closed - no explanation - nothing!
These con artists have found a gaping hole in paypal's rules and are exposing it to the maximum.
Next step for me is to complain to higher authorities but I am absolutely disgusted with paypal and ebay (who still want their £20 seller fee by the way) and will never use them again. They don't deserve any custom.
Will post further information if I ever get anywhere!

I had exactly the same problem, I sold an item to a buyer which he paid for straight away. I then sent the item Special Delivery the next day, then 6 weeks later I receive an email stating that the buyer is putting in a claim for a fraudulent transaction (!) and my Paypal account would be put on temporary hold. I sent the post office receipt to Paypal and explained everything that I did in the transaction. They said they would look into it & come back to me. They came to me saying that the buyers card issuer had said that it was a fraudulent transaction & that it would stand & the money came out of my account which is still negative as I'm no way putting money into it! The buyer has never said he hadn't received the item so he has the item and the money back & I have nothing! Is there anything I can do?

I have exactly the same issue. I have proof of delivery signature etc. And paypal have just closed the case and refunded to the buyer. Anyone took the issue further and could explain to me the process to do so, as with the people above I have no goods and no money for selling these to the crooks (£190).
