Wrong email address

Ive just sent funds to my friend but I forgot to add the numbers into it  What will happen if it goes to someone who has the same email address without the numbers please guys

What does it say next to the payment in your paypal account?

Has it completed or does it say pending / unclaimed? If the latter then is there a cancel option?
