Hi, I've a card on my Paypal that has worked for over a year. And now for no apparent reason when I try to pay for something it now says it can't obtain funds from this source please add another card. How can I fix this? I've tried removing and re entering the card, which is my only one and is working everywhere else

Have you had a failed transaction using that card at all recently?

When you re-added the card, did you confirm it with the 4 digit code?

Is the card still in date and not nearing expiration?

Hi I e not had any failed transactions with the card except on PayPal and there is money in the account. I haven't been asked for a 4 didgit code? What seems to be happening is that PayPal isn't saving my 3 didgit security code. I re entered it and even deleted the card and re entered the whole thing, but as soon as I go back on the card details the security code has disappeared?

Well if you have had a failed transaction using that card then paypal often disable it from their system.

But if you mean that you have just failed to ''add'' it then what type of card is it, is it one that paypal accepts?

So let me explain from the start again This card has been on my Paypal account and regularly used without issue for over a year. For no reason that I can see a glitch with PayPal has deleted the security code causing it not to work any more. This glitch is still present as it is deleting the security code once it's saved. I don't have another card to add does this mean I can't use pay pal? Surely not! I don't know how this forum works. Are you an agent of PayPal, or just a nice person trying to help me out? If it's the first please could you raise this problem to a higher level so it can get sorted out. If it's the latter thankyou for trying to help and do you know how I can speak to PayPal directly. Thanks Amy

This is a ''community forum'' hence when you click ''ask the community'' you don't get paypal customer services.

If you want paypal customer services then  >>

Click on the words "Contact" at the bottom of your paypal account summary page and use the phone option (if there is one in the country you are in) > click on the "call us" option on the left (fees "may" apply so check the cost with your phone tariff first, as you sometimes have to wait a while to connect).

When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent or say the word "agent".

OR have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?

You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.

It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPalUK and @AskPayPal for Twitter.

Good luck.
