Hi, I recently bought some clothes online from New Look and paid via PayPal. A few items didn't fit so I took them back to the store and was told they could only issue me with a credit note. When I mentioned that I found that disappointing as the refund was for nearly £90 and there wasn't anything else I wanted in the store at that time. I was told I could log in to PayPal and request that the credit note be transferred into a credit back into my account. Has anybody else heard of this or indeed how to go about doing it? I've had a look on PayPal and I'm either thick (most probs!) or the link to do this is very well hidden! Thanks in advance for your help! 🙂
This is not possible on your end. In such cases, it is up to the Merchant to issue a partial refund. I would suggest you contact New Look again. According to their own website, New Look, the refunds are sent to the original funding sources for items returned in-store from online purchases.
I think the store assistant chose the easy solution rather than the correct one.
