Bad purchase, seller refused refund, product was not as stated.

Hi guys

I recently bought a pair of rollerblades from someone offering them on Ebay. He asked me to make my payment plus postage though paypal instead of Ebay, didn't realise this was a no no 😕

I received the skates, they were in a terrible state, the wrong size and also fell apart /  broke within minuets of use.

I have emailed 3 times, 1st to say I was disappointed and told him they were the wrong size. 2nd to ask for a refund as they broke - he said no refund. 3rd to tell him strongly I was beyond disappointed.

Do I have any come back here / chance of a refund, I think I just paid him directly.

It was a personal payment, think I got swindled.

Just called Paypal and they are coontacting him to ask for the money back, part of it came out of my bank account so I need to contact them also on that part.

Fingers crossed and super helpful over the phone.
