Account "limited"

 OK so my account was limited after I noticed an unauthorised payment on my account, I flagged it as unauthorised, and changed my password, then it says that my account is limited. This was fine until I tried to undo it - I completed all the steps except the third, but all it says when I attempt to complete the third is 

"Please provide the documents requested below. We'll review your account status after we receive the information we've requested.

Check email for additional requirements

 

  1. Your documents need to be valid and legible.
  2. The submitted information on the documents must correspond with the information on your PayPal account.
  3. Your documents need to be less than 6 months old.
  4. We will handle your information in accordance with our privacy policy." I have checked my primary email address, the inbox and the junk folder, and there is only one e-mail about my account being limited. This does not say anything about what documents I should upload. Can someone help me with this?

This is what is 'generally' asked for, so you can either send those and see if paypal ask for more or you can give customer services a call and ask what they want.

- Proof of address such as bank statement or utility bill, Proof of identity such as passport or driver’s license
This helps us verify your identity when there is unusual account activity or to comply with regulations.

 

Once you’ve submitted your information, look out for any more emails from us as we may need additional details. We’ll do our best to confirm your information and remove the limitation within 2 business days, but sometimes it can take a little longer.

I'm not the house owner (not the one that pays the bills), so I cannot provide a utility bill. I can provide a PDF version of my bank statement. I do not currently have a passport or driving license.

Your bank statement is fine to upload, please ensure it contains your full name and address and has been issued to you in the last 12 months.

You need to go into your account and get to "Resolution Centre" - If when you log in you see a message that there are "Issues with your account" that link should take you to the Resolution Centre. Scroll down the page and you should see the questions there such as "Proof of ID" etc. Click on "Resolve" next to each question and upload the documents requested. Hope that helps? If you still have a problem, contact Customer Services via 'phone and they should be able to guide you.
