Seller untrue accusal when described to ebay help line very hurtful.

11/25 I fully refunded a purchase to a buyer when I could NOT find the item in my inventory. I also wrote an explanatory message of apology to buyer. The same day I had a Negative feedback with accusation of "refunding with no reason" --buyer wanted to know why! If he had taken a moment to read attached note to refund, he would have KNOWN why--I had had NO negative feedback before this--but Mark of ebay "help" (this is help--to support someone who lied about what happened against a seller who had had a perfect record of business?) told me the buyer had not broken any rules. I guess lying is allowed-after all it is in the news nightly. I am so disappointed and let down. Have others found support is given to the culprit instead of the victim?
