I have been viewing some of these posts, looking for someone with similar circumstances as mine and I have seen multiple posts whereas the one posted commented that the police are not doing their job, when it came to prosecuting cases of fraudulent using of someone's credit card or Pay Pal accounts. As a 36 year veteran Detective, I would like to say, in 99% of the cases where criminal activity is reported, it remains outside the jurisdiction of local law enforcement. the majority of the cases originate in Pakistan, Iraq, and many places outside the reach of law enforcement. In fact, I have investigated many cases that total close to a million dollars in funds and it is frustrating that we are unable to touch the perpetrators since they are across the sea. We know that our Federal Bureau of Investigation is not interested and will not investigate cases for several reasons. Not that they are "NOT DOING THEIR JOB", it because of the cost of investigating as well as extradition situations. Most countries where these crimes occur, occur outside of the U. S. and in countries where there are no extradition laws. Personally,I think we should treat them as terrorists and reach out and touch them using a drone for they are the reason prices for merchandise in the united States have increased some times 10 fold. They are the reason credit card companies have the high interest rates and service charges. The credit card companies and "Pay Pal" have to recover the funds that have been stolen somehow. I can not stand a thief and if a thief's mommy knew they where stealing money from little old ladies, I am sure she would be proud of them but, we all know a thief will not tell their Mommy how they get their money. We know, they lie to their mother and lead her to believe they are good little boys and girls. The thief's mother did the best they could at raising them and it is not their mother's fault their kid turned out to be no count and is too lazy to get a job. All I ask is, instead of blaming the police for not doing their job, place to blame where it actually belongs. That is on the no count thief that is stealing your money. The police basically, have their hands due to jurisdictional laws. Eventually, laws will change, allowing investigators to go after these low life idiots. Until then, please do not get lack-st at protecting your personal information and do what you can to assist the police and not blame them. I appreciate the time and for allowing me to speak my piece. Have a blessed and safe day.
