Hi, I am not a trader but used PayPal few times as a buyer. I wanted to sell a house hold used item & advertised on Gumtree. An interested buyer wants to pay via PayPal to me. My Q's are, do I have to register as a seller or I can receive money as my existing account? How much commission PayPal will deduct from the amount paid ?

Welcome to the Community! 

Someone using PayPal only needs to know your PayPal email address or mobile phone number to send you money. You do not need to register as a seller to receive funds on PayPal; however, you will need to ensure your email address is confirmed to receive payments. 

Here's how to confirm your email address.

- Go to Settings.

- Click Update next to the email address you want to confirm.

- Click Confirm this email and we'll send you an email.

- In the email we send you, click the Confirm your email button to complete the confirmation process.

You can read more information on what fees are charged in your country by clicking "Fees" at the bottom of your PayPal webpage.
