I am disputing 2 totally ridiculous transactions on my account. What I'm wondering is what is the likelihood that Paypal databased got hacked to my computer picking up keylogging malware? There was also a hack at my University this week, no reprucussions yet.

Paypal's database is pretty secure.
More likely, you opened an attachment on a fake ebay or paypal email or clicked on a link on an ebay or paypal email and got a keylogger on your computer.
Since you know about keyloggers, I assume you know what you have to do next.
