Seller says PayPal won't let him use MasterCard....

I was trying to PayPal money to a seller in Trinidad. Originally he wanted me to Moneygram him, but I said I wouldn only do PayPal. Seller agreed, and I sent the payment via PayPal.

Now the seller says PayPal won't let him receive the funds because he only has a Mastercard, and that PayPal is telling him he needs a Visa. He now wants me to send via Western Union. I was able to cancel my payment in PayPal.

I'm thinking he is trying to scam me, but who knows, maybe there is some rule in Trinidad? Has anyone else heard of this?

I am not sure but I think there is no such rule..For PayPal,it doesnt matter whether it is Visa or MasterCard or a debit card or a credit card so whichever you use,it should accept it..

Well, PayPal does not allow to withdraw money in some countries Smiley Surprised

However, Trinidad and Tobago is not on this list Smiley Happy

If you send money by Moneygram or WesternUnion - you loose ANY chances to dispute and have your money back in case something goes wrong.

You take this risk or not - depending on the money amount involved and how badly you want what the Seller is offering.

Take care Smiley Happy
