No you helped the seller
There is no SNAD protection for such purchases.
next time read the user agreement you agreeed to before using the service.
Now if you funded the paypal payment with a credit card or branded debit card (m/c visa), contact them and file a chargeback

You made it very easy for him.
All Paypal members are adults, adults make decissions.
You made a decision to pay a seller with no paypal buyer protection.
No that decision could also be a good one if you funded the paypal payment with a credit card.
You do have cc chargeback rights

I read your posts after I wrote mine. I've learned a lot from your unfortunate experience and I'm sorry we both felt PayPal had higher standards for buyer protections. Like you say, what is the point of using PayPal except to hide your financial info. I am going right to my account and make sure I am linked to my ATM card in all cases.
PayPal needs to rethink and execute a new policy on Sellers who defraud PayPal users or Sellers who deliver information that does not meet the contents/benefits of what is promised in a sales offering. My choice will not be PayPal until they fix this. I'm sure I'm not alone. Thanks for being steadfast in getting this information out!
