I recently received and email, supposedly from PayPal, that states they noticed and issue with my account. It also stated "Our system detected unusual charges to a credit card linked to your PayPal account.: and gave me a PayPal Reference Number. They sent a link asking me to "click on it in order to restore my account." Since my account has been officially closed for several years, I forward this information to PayPal users so they can "see' yet another scam disguised as a PayPal email!
Got an email from "paypal" stating I had authorized another email address to my account, which I did not. Then told me to click link for their website if was unauthorized. I did so and noticed the site was not "secure".
Logged onto my paypal account and email address was not added! Phew! Still scary.
