I just sold an item for $3,860 on ebay.  Paypal deducted $150 for the transaction.  Thats almost a 4% fee, not 2.9%  What should i do?

I found out...they charge me 3.9% because I was paid in australian dollars that they had to convert.  😞

Actually it was because it was a cross border payment.  If it had been in Australina funds the fee would have been more

Hi peilthetraveler, and welcome to the forums!

You got the correct answer from profdata. A 3.9% fee would be the normal 2.9% plus 1% for a cross-border payment. There's more information available if you click "Fees" at the bottom of any PayPal page.

Thanks, profdata!

Olivia

I tried to sell a thing for $ 1, to see how much my fee will be and when I did I could not believe that I took PAYPAL 33% fee! Is that possible?

Which means that I have a $ 1 got $ 0.67!
