I've gotten two charges recently. The one was around 60¢ and the other was around 80¢. Why? Was it a fee?

Hi Greg7388,
Welcome!
Where did you see these charges? Did you recently add a bank account to your PayPal account?

I've had my bank account connected with my Paypal account for over a year. I'd see charges of a few cents in my checking account from Paypal, with no purchase causing it.

Login to your PayPal account and check your account history page during the applicable date ranges... do you see any transactions in your PayPal account history for the applicable date ranges?
If yes, click on the "Details" link... what does it say?

The most I see are the fees attached to payments I've received. Those are taken out of the payment though, not my account.

Does Paypal charge you when you have nothing in your paypal account and they have to withdraw from your bank account?

No. Check with your bank to see if they're charging you.

While I will try talking to my bank, I think the charge wouldn't be saying that it was from Paypal unless it was from Paypal.
No one has seen "Paypal Inst Xfer" on their bank statements?

PAYPAL INST XFER means if you bought something online using your PayPal account and you didn't have enought money in there then Paypal instantly transfers remaining required amount from your bank.Example.
You have $400 in your PayPal and you decided to buy an iPhone which is $550.After authorising the purchase,Paypal will deduct $400 from your PayPal + $150 from your bank.Total=$550.
On your bank account it will show up PAYPAL INST XFER "blahblahblah" $150
where
PAYPAL=PayPal
INST=instant
XFER=transfer
blahblahblah=some rundom WEB ID number
$150= $150
lol I can't explain any simpler.
PayPal doesn't charge when you do instant transfers but your BANK may charge.Call and ask your bank.
Bye.
