Heres one. I ordered an item. payed for it via paypal. Found the item was rubbish and filed a dispute. The dispute was settled quickly in my favour. Heres where the fun starts. At first no money was taken from my bank account and when money was taken it was after the fact - so in effect no money or transaction was needed to be recorded. There was a third party involved with the payment called citibank. Paypal paid citibank the sum. Instead of asking citibank to be refunded paypal took the money from my account via my bank account and are now holding the money. Indeed the money that has been taken is not even showing as a balance on my paypal account. paypal claims that this is the way they do things. I claim its illogical. Also bear in mind that paypal can take money from your bank account but will not place money back into your bank account - this is just too simple a procedure for paypal. They want to hold the money (which they had no need to take) for as long as they can. When asked how much interest they make on the money they do not reply. Infact all their answers are so political they may as well be on question time. Sure they move their lips and make sounds but not one answer is an answer its just a reply for the sake of making a reply. And the telephone rates are extortionate so whos the real winner?
