I wanted to share this. This has happened twice to me now. So this is still a ongoing issue. So beware please.  Also should this be reported to BBB?

Beware ZOO WORLD on Facebook!!!
[ Edited ] Mar-17-2010 09:59 AM - last edited on Mar-17-2010 10:02 AM When you use Paypal to purchase items for the game Zoo World on Facebook, the developer of the game, Rock You, automatically sets up one-button purchasing with your Paypal account. They do not warn you they are going to do this and do not ask your permission. Once you buy ONE item from them you have unknowingly given them permission to get payment from you anytime you click on an item to buy it. There is no password protection, no steps to go through to spend money. If your toddler gets on your computer and tries to buy 100 unicorns or something, they do not need any password, they can just click a "buy now" button and Paypal takes your money.

Let me be clear: Rock You sets up continuing access to your Paypal account without informing you they are doing so.
Don't do business with this company. They are underhanded and unprofessional.

First I bought the treasure hunter for $20 several months back. So now zooworld I guess kept my info somehow (password etc...)

Then about 2 weeks ago in my sleep (seriously) I bought $50 worth wildlife points. The $50 is highlighted as best deal. So just one click on the wildlife page and poof....spent $50. I didn't catch it until I was going through my email and saw a email about it.

Well tonight hubby & I were talking and he had just bought some chips for poker (also facebook app). He didn't understand how I did it in my sleep because he had to type all info in and password etc...
So I just went to the wildlife page and showed him but clicked the buy now button and sure enough it bought $50 again UGH!! So now I am requesting a refund and asking why paypal didn't require a password. This is scary....if I stay logged into a computer and someone wanted to they could clean my bank account out on zoo world.

So has this happened to anyone else and is there a fix???

Zooworld never gets to get your password - paypal doesn't give it to them.

More likely, someone has entered their credit card information and has used their Paypal debit card (it can be used as a credit card as well).

On a credit card basis, no signature is needed for small amounts.
