Due to the fees charged by ebay (they charge a % of the shipping and the sale) and fees by paypal (they charge up to 2.9% of the monies sent to them plus an additional .30 cents) I can no longer start my bids at .99 because if i sell something for .99 and ebay takes .60 and paypal takes another 1.24 I am paying my customers to take the item, and since i am currently unemployed and selling items that i have had for years so that i can survive, i have to start my bids higher-which means i wont be able to sell as much. I find this to be very exhausting and unfair in our hard economic times that ebay and paypal (owned by the same people) are hitting the sellers twice with fees. I am very upset but have no other avenue to sell my items- really a shame it used to be an easy and inexpensive way to sell some of your buried treasures so someone else could enjoy them.
