PayPal cannot truly be investigating fraudulent claims

Years ago there was a photo hosting site called www.mypicgallery.com that I pre-approved a $19.95 annual subscription charge for and was happy with the service UNTIL one day the site totally vanished, pictures and all, along with whatever part of my subscription had not been earned.

I looked not for days or weeks for mypicgallery.com but off and on for months turning into years.  There was no way on God's  earth to contact mypicgallery.com.

The last subscription PayPal paid from my account was November 20, 2009.

THEN...on November 21, 2011, they paid a company called MediaShare Corporation $19.95 from my account as a pre-approved subscription for www.mypicgallery.com.

THERE IS NO MYPICGALLERY.COM!  If you don't believe me, look for yourself!

Apparently MediaShare Corporation is possibly trying to open a video sharing service but it appears to be in a development stage.    I called a phone number on the site, someone named Norm Pearson answered and immediately hung up when he realized why I had called.  The next time I called the number was disconnected.

When I called PayPal, both young men who listening to my dispute agreed that I shouldn't have been charged AND I'd receive an Email within a few days saying everything had been corrected - remember, there had been no payment made since 2009, the site I subscribed to had not existed in at least two years.

I received the Email yesterday saying the dispute had been settled in MediaShare Corporation's favor.  There is no way on earth anyone investigating this situation would come to the conclusion that this was a reputable action on MediaShare's part.  Period!  PayPal suggested I contact MediaShare...I tried, for the umpteenth time, but their number is discontected and no one answers/acknowledges their Email.

I'm closing my PayPal account.  I used to think PayPal was totally on the up-and-up and honestly would protect me from anyone fraudulently using my account but $19.95 has taught me I was woefully mistaken!
