So I sent my item in for exchange and they took about a month to process my exchange. During which i kept emailing and was told they werent sure when it would be processed. Finally sent me an email saying they were out of stock of my requested exchange item and gave me a coupon, to which i replied rudely and asked for a full refund or i would take it up with paypal. So they somehow found my requested exchange item, and have supposedly sent it in the mail. My deadling to open a dispute is up next week.
Is there a way to extend my deadline or should(can) I open a dispute just in case they continue to try and **bleep** me over?

If I were you, I would file a dispute to be on safe side, and you can always convey this to the seller by posting message to him that you are doing this to be on safe side.
When you get the item you can cancel the dispute.
