limited access snafu

I received the following email on 9/22.

 

Dear retus <removed>,

We noticed some unusual activity on your account and are concerned about potential unauthorized access. We need your help resolving this issue, and for your safety, we have temporarily limited what you can do with your account until you take action.

What do I need to do?

Log in to your PayPal account and complete the steps required to re-secure your account. 

 

I was traveling and could not log on securely, so postponed this action until today. I logged in to my account, only to find it not limited and with no pending case in the resolution center. Is my account safe? How/why/did this situation get resolved without any action on my part? Thanks for any help you can give!
