Hello, I've sold an item on eBay. The buyer has opened a case to say that "Item significantly different to how it was described", and the value of the sale has automatically been subtracted from the PayPal account. The item was exactly as described and working perfectly.
I replied to the case, to prove that the item hadn't even been received yet. I assume that the purchase was an error, which is fine, i'm happy for the buyer to return the item for a refund. As the seller i don't seem to have any say in the matter. The case is under review, awaiting Buyer feedback for almost 2 week, while i'm out of money. How do sellers escalate? If the buyer stands their ground, i lose money and they get a free item, which isn't fair at all.

Depends if they opened a dispute on Ebay or Paypal?
