Unwanted pre-approval and transaction duplicate

Hi guys. Theres no one answer me on PayPal message and on fb chat. Phone them is useless. I already spoke to the PayPal staff over the phone..she said she will help me to get the refund. When i purchase the flight ticket its over $1k6 AUD, I clicked on submit and it went to PayPal website, I didn't realise that PayPal will pre-approval the transaction because my husband's credit card I never add in my account PayPal. There was no ticket issued or email from paypal at that time so i thought it was nothing happened. And I thought it has declined. I found the same trip on other website is cheaper then made another transaction thru my husband's credit card to book a ticket, i didn't use PayPal, i got the itinerary straight away with email confirmation. Then 2 hours later I received the message from the trip.com (where i bought the first transaction thru paypal) that my payment has successfully completed and they issued me the ticket. I quickly contact PayPal to cancel but theres no response and until now they keep calling me everyday ask me to pay for the amount due. The ticket i booked is on 25/10 trip from Chicago to Sydney. I need PayPal to get the money back asap before it expires while i don't need that ticket. I have already booked and got my ticket already. I tried to contact them telling the same story everytime but the only words they said is i will help you try to contact them to get the refund, but the other teams are calling me everyday chase me to pay for the amount due and I'm tired to keep explaining to them the same thing :(( Please help
