My daughter who is 15 opened an account and spent $500 with my debit card. I cannot believe PayPal would accept no responsibility although they did not take any step to verify the ID of the owner, the validity of the debit card ID and the one of the bank account. Please any help would be appreciated. Thank you,

If she added a card and not a bank account then paypal do verify the card to send the code to verify it.
Did that not happen?

Kudos / Solution appreciated.

No it did not happen. A verification would have been sent to me. Keep in mind, this is a debit card, not a credit card. It has to be linked to a bank account. Thank you again,

@Cdepret wrote:The first name is different and the bank account is under a joint name. She had no access to the bank account. It was easy for PayPal to initiate a couple of penny transactions to verify the owner ID. They have not.
Thank you for your message.
Paypal has to monitor millions of subscribers all over the world, all yuo have to monitor is one under same roof.
BTW,I don't work for Paypal,if you suggest it,they may consider adding such feature to their existing software

Pretty ridiculous allowing a 15 year old girl access to your debit card and allowing her to set up a paypal account really.
My kids would never do such a thing as they are 'not allowed'.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.
