So let me get this straight

....back at the end of October I paid a guy through PayPal for over $100 USD. It was a transaction on Discogs.com. Immediately after the guy accepted my payment, he ghosted me (and a bunch of other people). My messages to him for weeks went unresponded. Discogs suspended his account.

So I came to PayPal on Nov. 27 to file a claim. It made me do the thing where I used their system to communicate with the seller first. Of course he never responded to that either.

I checked today and found that the case was automatically closed yesterday. He never responded. I'm thinking "OK now I can get PayPal to refund me." No, apparently I can't re-open a dispute, or file a new claim? Just because this guy ignored me I'm now out of options for getting my money refunded?
