Scam online store “cloroxclo.com” just took my money. HELP!

Scam online store <Removed> just took my money. My payment is still “pending”, & this is when PayPal should NOT pay them! I can’t seem to get ahold of a human being though, & have been put in a 2 hour line to hear back from them? I thought the time to CANCEL was three (3) hours?

I did not get a receipt from this FAKE Store, & that was the second sign - After clicking the “Back to Merchant” link through PayPal I was redirected to strange website that had nothing to do with the products I thought I ordered!

My question is: Why isn’t PayPal actively standing up for their clientele/customers IMMEDIATELY? Why isn’t something in place to stop a payment when one’s realised they’ve just been TAKEN??!

Come on #PayPal - You can do BETTER than this.

Paypal can't stop a payment you authorised, if it stays as pending it will time out at 30 days.

If it completes then you have the option to open a dispute for non receipt of item OR item received but not as described.

Me too. I’m so mad at my self for doing it too. I tried to cancel the payment while it was still pending and according to PayPal instructions you should be able to do that but I was not given the option. Very disappointed in PayPal. Disappointed in myself for falling for it. I’ve emailed on their website but will wait the allowed time and file a case with PayPal for goods paid for and not received. I’ll see what happens.

No you can't cancel a pending payment unless it shows pending/unclaimed when its gone to an email address that is non existant ie a typo and so can't complete so you can cancel it.

PayPal should be ashamed for supporting FRAUD, enabling criminal activity! You do have responsibility to these types of situations yet pretend you don’t? Everyone should go to BetterBusinessBureau.com to file a complaint for these types of transactions.

I did dispute it, & was initially told it would take six (6!) weeks to resolution. Just a couple days later, PayPal sided with this fraudulent company. I had already written I had no receipt bc I never received one from this Cloroxclo.com fraudulent store front, and they would not let me sign in after questioning them on each of their emails. They blocked me. So, why in Gods name would #PayPal side with a fraudulent online fake store? When I’ve been taken by $40.16? PayPal simply does not care about their buying customers, & PayPal is not taking the time to VERIFY their sellers. So in essence is Enabling these frauds bc they know the outcome - PayPal will side with them bc innocent buyers like myself, bought into their fraudulence!

It’s unconceivable that #PayPal is getting away with this unscathed. You should help the customers who realise what’s happened instead of taking the “you made the decision” road, when notified the SAME DAY as the transaction.

You need to set this up for the good of your own business. I notified the Better Business Bureau about this, & that not only are you not helping the buying customers but enabling fraudulent sellers. SHAME on YOU - #ShamePayPal I’m disappointed in how you conduct an “investigation”. Which is nothing. NOTHING, otherwise you’d know the people listed in the emails have already been caught with a similar site by Google, whom I’ve also notified. They shut down their first “Clorox” store. Which, btw, starts out as Clorox.com the official website, but when one places the order switches to cloroxclo.com !

You should side with the BUYERS so those frauds would be forced to shut down. They posted PayPal front & center for their form of payment. Everyone seems to think “PayPal” will protect the buyer, but this is not the case. What can someone do when they’ve been blocked, received no receipt? You tell me. How could PayPal possibly side with them? HOW?? Everyone should report PP to the #BBB -

Instead of a rant why not supply some facts.

You said the payment was ''pending'' so you can't dispute a pending payment so did the payment complete?

Which dispute did you open?

Did you escalate to a claim?

Did the seller provide a tracking number?

If you want to provide more information please lose the bold as its hard to read.

Also paypal did not choose your seller, you did, Paypal gives you 'some' buyer protection but the onus is on all of us to risk assess our own transactions.

I’ve since reported #PayPal to the #BBB for false advertising of “protecting” customers. You DON’T. & In fact ENABLE FRAUDULENT Activity by siding with Fake Sellers, who send no receipt & Block buyers (after making a purchase) PayPal uses the reason/excuse of “No proof” presented! I called & talked to someone on the day it happened, yet PalPay cares only about themselves and making money. You falsely state that you’ll cover any problems encountered then Do NOTHING. You don’t do your Due Diligence nor even TRY to help buyers when this happens. Fraudulent online “stores” know PP will pay, give the buyer NO proof - Nor do I see that they’ve even responded to you, yet you side with them using MY Statement as their response! Wth?? The mire complaints to the Better Business Bureau the better. You should in the very least Verify the seller. & When you realize your mistake in helping criminal activity, reverse the funds - In the long run, you could prolong your relevance bc as of now, every one is catching on to your FAKE Protection & paying directly thru a credit card (who will not pay the fraudulent seller + refund a fake sale to the buyer), or use another paysite. My son (age 35) simply said it best “PayPal” is irrelevant & no one uses them anymore. He speaks for a wide range of friends so good. Hopefully more will figure it out & either you’ll change or GO OUT OF BUSINESS.

You chose to send the funds to the seller and those funds are processing, paypal cannot legally stop a payment you have requested or cancel it.

Any cancellation is between you and the merchant you chose to purchase from, if its pending for 30 days and not captured then it will time out.

If it completes then paypal gives you the option to open a dispute for non receipt of item OR item received but not as described, they do not however do 'buyer remorse'.
