Receiving different items that were purchased and PayPal siding with Seller

I always used PayPal because to me it was secure and it would keep me from getting scammed. Over the past year this has all changed, Now PayPal is siding with the sellers even though they is no question that they are scamming people. The last order I ordered an automatic pool cleaning robot and it takes over 2 months to get it. and it was a cheap plastic ring. Not at all what I ordered. Paypal agreed with the seller that I pay to send the merchandise back and than I could file a claim for up to $30 postage. The $2 ring going back to China as cheap as I could was $39. Why is that on the buyer to pay to return an item I never ordered.

Now I have another claim opened where I purchases 5 Troy oz of pure Silver from the US coming from New York will ship in 5 to 7 days. I get an email from China with a receipt for my transaction. I said no way you falsely advertised yourself as an American company selling pure Silver from New York it's a scam.

I trying cancel the order they tell me it already shipped on Nov20th and it still isn't here and Paypal has postponed the resolution date 4 times now. I have a feeling they are going to try the same thing and try to get me to pay to ship it back.

Has anybody else had issues like this and why has PayPal started siding with the seller on everything?

Chinese Web Sites or on Social Media ads easy to spot (once you know the below signs) so buyer beware.

1. No return address on the returns policy............thats because the site will look as if its in your country (where they despatch goods from) BUT they will ask for returns to go back to China (returns depot) at a shipping cost nearly always more than the item is worth.
2. No contact telephone number............if you click on contact the most you will get is webmail or an email address.
3. No company address information.
4. Great looking items at bargain prices that turn out to be tat.

In the event of a dispute you need to bear in mind possible return trackable costs before you buy from that seller / item / country because....

Paypal state this >>
PayPal is not obliged to reimburse you for any costs that you incur to comply with any of PayPal’s requests for cooperation for the purpose of resolving the problem (including, without limitation, costs that you incur to return a SNAD item to the Payment Recipient or another party as PayPal requests), although sometimes it may reimburse these costs.

Although they will compensate you for some of the cost if you have activated this at some point before you made that transaction.

You also have the option to do a chargeback via your card issuer instead of a Paypal dispute if you funded your Paypal payment via a credit card.
