Purchased an item which I suspect is a scam

I have purchased an item from a facebook ad and was provided with a tracking number almost immediately, which led me to do some further research.  I believe the seller is a scammer and I will never get the item I paid for.  I filed a dispute on here but paypal misunderstood my claim to be based on unauthorised access, which it isn't.  I now have a closed case against this transaction and cannot open another case for resolution.  What can I do to receive a refund?

You either opened a dispute for unauthorised instead of non receipt of item OR you paid using the friends/family option and so unauthorised was the only option.

Which one was it?

opened a dispute for unauthorised instead of non receipt of item.  It had only been 2 days so I didn't want to file non-receipt.  I just suspect the seller is a scam, the order went straight to "posted" status but the tracking number hadn't been registered with any postal service when I opened this topic.  I have since managed to chat with paypal and they changed my case to non receipt of item and are investigating further.  The seller has now given us another tracking number, which checks out this time although there's no destination, haha.  I suspect I'll receive a brick or two so the "package" weighs as much as a bike.  My fault really, who would think AUD$300 would get you a chinese e-bike ?! Anyway, lets see what happens, hope I dont lose my money.  Paypal are being helpful which is a good experience.  I'll update when I hear more.
