Possible Fraud, Wanting to know more info

Hello all, I am in the middle of a dispute, in which the seller is not responding to. Backstory is that I bought a camera on facebook marketplace, and used PayPal as the source of the transaction. After I sent the payment, he went ghost on me, blocked me on all forms of content, and presumably scammed me. I was reading, and it says that I can file my claim this upcoming Monday. The odds of the scammer to reply to the dispute/future claim is quite unlikely. I am wondering, who has the money that I sent to him at this moment? Does the money that I sent automatically hit his account? I paid the seller through the goods and services, thankfully. But at this moment, I am still confused how PayPal will get my money to me... Will they hold the funds, or request a refund from him directly? Basically my question is, "where is the money that I sent?" Looking to get some more information on this as I am still a new member, and figuring this out daily. Any information will help at this point. Thanks!!

Hello and Good day @dariusiacob ! To answer your question, once a dispute is filed the funds are kept on hold. If the Seller does not reply or respond once the dispute is escalated to a claim, in 10 days, case will close in your favor and you will be refunded back to the funding source you used.

I suggest to keep an eye on your email or the Resolution Center for any updates on your case.

Hope this helps and Stay Safe!
