I recently opened the PayPal business account, but was not asked for submission of soft copies of any sort of identity proof for KYC purpose. I did enter my PAN during account creation. My bank account and purpose code are verified and I see the message that PayPal will get back to me within 5-7 business days. I was not able to add money from my bank account to my PayPal wallet as well. Could this be because KYC is pending from PayPal's end? Also it asks for a GST number during identity confirmation, but being an individual/freelancer, I do not have it. Without providing it, I will not be able to go to the next step of identity confirmation apparently.
