Both mine and my fathers accounts have been hacked without our knowledge, both accounts have had either a bank account or a debit card connected to them and money has been taken out of upwards of 150$ from both accounts which leaves us in a tight situation seeing as we need the money right now and hackers accessed both accounts without us getting notified and purchases happened in silence we have both tried contacting the message center but it has no active employes at the moment we have both changed our passwords and reset 2fa, but we have yet to recieve a way or a comformation that our stolen money will be refund or how we will get them back

You are not always covered for unauthorised transactions if the reason for the payments was down to you giving away your paypal log in details ie spoof emails or access to your computer / phone ie saved password. So read up on it in paypals user agreement to see if you were covered.

So if you were hacked......

Click on the transaction in your paypal account and use the 'report a problem' link at the bottom to report it as unauthorised if that is what it was.

An unauthorised transaction means that your Paypal account was hacked and used without your consent.
If Paypal check IP addresses / devices etc and find that it was hacked then yes you should receive your refund.

I hope you changed your password and security questions?
I hope you ran a virus scan on your computer?
I would also be telling my card issuers and bank accounts company that the account was hacked so that they can keep an eye on your account OR remove the financial info involved until things are sorted.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
