I am an American who lives and works in China. Today I tried to link my AMEX to PayPal and ran into substantial issues. Firstly, because I live in China when prompted to provided my passport info to prove my identity PayPal automatically associated it as a Chinese passport. This is now an issue which I cannot change manually it seems. Secondly, it asks for a billing address associated with the account- either a credit card, utility, cell phone bill, which I also don’t have as I don’t have a house, live out of a suitcase, and all my statements are paperless. I don’t know what to do or provide as nothing else is an option
