How long for Paypal to authorise my identity and unblock my account?

My account has been put on hold until my identification is verified, how long does this typically take?

My normal account has been blocked since 20 Feb 2020 with no access what so ever, no fault of my own, I sent the two forms of ID straight away in the form of a bank statement from Feb 2020 and my current Passport.

I now cannot even log into my account.

I have spent probably 150 hours both on the phone to agents in the beginning prior to covid-19, then sending messages via their stupid message service, which changes agent every few minutes.

It has felt like banging my head against a wall most of the time, a bit like 'Groundhog day' the film, being asked the same questions over and over.

Why Paypal should think they can solve problems with these messages over a simple telephone conversation I do not know nor understand????????

I had to set up another account after covid-19 just to be able to communicate with them, I have escalated the problem to the complaints dept via an email and was promised a call back from them on about 10 July within 72 hours...............I AM STILL WAITING FOR THAT CALL!!!!!!!!!!!! 

The worst thing is, because I cannot access my account I cannot remove my Bank or Card details from it which I believe may be illegal.

Covid-19 or not I think Paypal's Customer Service is probably the worst in the World!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

So in answer to your question, I wouldn't hold your breath!!
