I logged into my email this morning to find that someone had spent over 33 dollars of MY money placing some sort of ad on facebook that clearly I didn't ask for as it's taken over 30 mins trying to figure out how the hell to get to the ads center on facebook (!)
I reported it as unauthorised and Paypal have basically ignored that and let these thieves take my money for their purposes without my authorisation and paypal are claiming it's authorised which it clearly isn't!
I tried to shut my paypal account down 'cos frankly if someone can do this god knows how much they will get away with next time and paypal won't even let me do that!
How the hell do I get paypal to do their job and get my money back from these bleeps and shut my account so there isn't one for these thieves to access?!

Same has just happened to me...
3 amounts taken out for Facebook Ads, I disputed the transactions only to be told ...
Thank you for reporting this case. After reviewing your case, we found that the reported transactions were not unauthorised and therefore aren't eligible for PayPal Buyer Protection.
Absolutely stunned!! Is there anywhere else I can go to dispute it again?

I ended up Phoning up Pay-pal when it happened to me and it occurred due to me verifying Facebook many years before for an ad. This authorisation never ends and so looking into my Facebook account, it turned out to be hacked and an ad was placed selling draught excluders!! I contacted Facebook who returned the money into my PayPal account.
Contact Facebook and you should get it back... change the passwords on your account too... the draught excluder ad was set to spend a maximum of £30 a day and the morning I cancelled it the that maximum had been changed to £1000 a day!!

Yeah! I was lucky I noticed it early. Definitely go to Facebook before it gets worse... 3 accounts had access to my Ad manager.
